About The Logo
Everything I have created and stand for is a complete representation of who I am and my life story. My logo combines aesthetics and symbolism to portray what I would love to wear along with who I am. The bee at the center represents a nickname I have always had, “Bee” or “Bee-Bee”, my sisters like to call me. It also stands for togetherness and teamwork as bees always move with their hives and stay loyal to one another. The lavender color is the universal ribbon color of cancer. My family has been deeply impacted by cancer which has ignited a passion in my heart to help or speak to those who have also been affected. The tulips that are placed in the corner of the honeycomb surrounding the bee represent my mother. They are her favorite flower and it only felt right to pay tribute to her strength, resilience and bravery. These attributes that my parents have always displayed to me throughout my life have inspired the motto “bee brave, bee kind, bee you” which can be found on my website and my merchandise. This saying is not only a clever play on words but a true anthem for what I want to project to the world.
Being confident and authentic are two very challenging things for a person to do. I have battled my whole young adult life with developing these characteristics. I always found myself focusing on the “haters'' as you might call them even when so many supporters were cheering me on. I don't know if anyone reading this also shares this quality but I am a people pleaser. Man, it is tough. I have learned over the years and am still learning each day to just “bee me”. I want my brand and my platform to encourage everyone no matter who they are to stand proudly as just that; to embrace the challenges, normalize the struggle, have empathy and compassion for others and be free to “bee” truly who they are.
